This article provides website developers with access to a set of test cases specially designed for testing Arlo's web control website integration technology. Access to Arlo's test data platform, screenshots, and a checklist are provided to help test web control implementations ready for go live. All common scenarios are tested and additional test data is provided for more advanced testing.
Note: The web control test cases can also be used alongside a custom API integration
Step 1: Setup
1. Select and implement your web controls
Find the Arlo Web Control you would like to add to your site. Select the "Try" option to open the related CodePen, edit the HTML, CSS, and JS files, and then drop these onto your website pages. Hint: Learn more about Arlo Web Controls
2. Configure your integration to Arlo's test data platform
All test cases within this article are designed to be used alongside our test data platform. This platform can be connected to your website integration by simply updating the Arlo platform name to "websitetestdata.arlo.co"
3. Download a test data checklist
Make a copy of the "Arlo Website test plan - Checklist" document to record your test results and access supporting information for each test case.
Select the Setup tab and follow the simple setup instructions. Select the appropriate tabs on the sheet to find the checklist for each of the test cases below.
Step 2: Test Cases
Below is a list of test cases which align with each web control type. Select the web control you want to test and follow the test cases alongside the checklist.
