This Article will cover adding, updating and removing Arlo registrations from a Google Sheet
There are a lot of variations on how you can use this Zap to suit your specific needs, such as filtering results so only certain registration types are added to certain sheets. In this example we'll keep it very simple and go through adding a events registrants to its associated workbook.
- To create and use these Zaps you will need to have a starter plan or above with Zapier to access multi-step Zaps.
- You will need a Gmail account
- In your Zapier Dashboard select Create Zap

- Search for and Select Arlo from the app selector

- Choose New Registration as the Trigger Event and click Continue

- Choose your account and click Continue

- On the find data step click Test Trigger
If Zapier says it cannot find any events to display try create a new registration in your platform, waiting a couple minutes and click test again.

- Click Continue after the test has completed
- Search for and select Google Sheets as the new Trigger

- For Choose Action Event select Create Spreadsheet Row and click Continue

- Select the Google account you'd like to connect to the Zap
You will need to connect to your Google account if this is the first time you've used it for a Zap.

- Specify where the Zapier can locate the Google Spreadsheet and Worksheet

- Zapier will then pull in the columns you have set up in the Worksheet.
- Enter the registration information from Arlo you'd like to use

This information will be unique to your worksheet and is where you can leverage the greatest value from Zapier, creating highly customised spreadsheets that are part of a larger workflow!
- With the Spreadsheet selected and the Arlo information inputted to the relevant columns, click Continue
- In the final step you can test that the Zap will work and a new row is added successfully. Click Test & Continue

- The new registration will be now be a row in the spreadsheet

- The Zap is now created and ready to go, all that's left is to give it a name and turn it on


- In your Zapier Dashboard select Create Zap

- Search for and Select Arlo from the app selector

- Choose Updated Registrant as the Trigger Event and click Continue

- Choose your account and click Continue

- On the find data step click Test and Continue

- Click Continue after the test has completed
The next step is for Zapier to find the correct row for the registrant
- Search for and select Google Sheets as the new Trigger

- For Choose Action Event select Lookup Spreadsheet Row and click Continue

- Select the Google account you'd like to connect to the Zap

- Specify where the Zapier can locate the Google Spreadsheet and Worksheet

- Specify which column you'll use to look up the existing registration
- We recommend you use ID as this is unique for each registrant in an event

We recommend you use ID for the look up as this is unique for each registrant in an event. Google lets you specify a secondary look up column but this isn't required in this instance.
- With the Spreadsheet and row identified, click Continue
- You can now test that the Zap will find the correct row. Click Test & Continue

With the correct row identified the next step is to update the data with the updated registration information
- Select Google Sheets as the app again
- Choose Updated Spreadsheet Row as the action

- Select your Google Account

- Specify which sheet to use
- This needs to be the same as the one you used in the search step

When selecting the Row to update you need to select Custom > Look up spreadsheet Row in Google Sheets > ID. This uses the previous search step to make sure Zapier edits the correction registrations row.

- Map the Arlo data to the Sheet columns

- Click Continue
- Test & Continue to check the Action will fire properly

- Check in the Google Sheet to ensure the registration information will be updated in the correct row

- The Zap is now created and ready to go, all that's left is to give it a name and turn it on
