This article will describe how to edit general platform settings and some important information about your Arlo platform.
Arlo supports changing the event terminology to match your specific requirements. For example, if you run "Courses" then the Arlo Management Platform pages, your communication and your website can be set to use the term "Course(s)" instead of "Event(s)".
The following process describes how to change the event terminology your platform uses.
- Open the Settings menu.

- Click General.
If you do not have General settings available, please contact Arlo Support to make this change.

- In the Platform section, select the option that best suits your requirements. Note: If none of the default settings meet your requirements you can select Other, and use your own terminology.

- If you have selected Other, enter your singular term, plural term, and indefinite article. For example:

- If you are using a custom term, ensure the singular term is no longer than 10 characters. If you exceed this, you may have user interface problems.
- Press Save.
Arlo has a range of address fields that can be used to capture a contact or organisations address.
The following article explains how to make certain address fields mandatory when the address field is on an Arlo registration/lead form, and how to rename the labels displayed with the address fields on your website. Learn more about contact and organisation address fields.
- Open the Settings menu.

- Click General.

- In the Platform section, tick the address fields that must be completed by registrants in the Required column.
- If needed, choose a new label for the address fields. Note: The new label will be displayed to your customers on your website registration forms, but is not reflected in the platform or in the reports.

- Press Save.
The address field is treated as one field-set in Arlo. You cannot have individual address lines on a registration form. All of them will be added but your registrants will only be required to fill out the fields that you have made mandatory. Country and Street/PO Box cannot be made optional, as these are required for Arlo to create orders. All address fields are a single line of text only, except for the Country field.
Once you have configured your address fields, learn how to add them to your website registration forms.
Arlo will detect if an administrator login is being used for two separate sessions at the same time, and as a security precaution, the original session will be ended with the below message displayed.
For example, if you leave Arlo logged in on a home computer, then log in at the office - the home session will be ended. This reduces the risk of unauthorised access to the system.
If you are logged out while completing a task in Arlo, you will need to log back in and start again.
If you would like to purchase additional Arlo Administrator Licenses, please contact Arlo Sales.
You'll need to use a supported web browser to log in to Arlo.
Use the latest version of one of these browsers to optimize your experience.
The Arlo Team use and recommend Google Chrome.
We don't support any beta versions of these browsers, or alternative open source builds of them.
You can also use IE or Edge, but Microsoft often does not support some newer technologies that we and other software products use to provide you with new features. Microsoft are also stopping support for IE so you may experience some issues with these browsers.
Please make sure that you keep your browser up to date and that cookies and JavaScript are enabled in your browser. If you are not sure how to check this, go to https://www.whatismybrowser.com/ to get all the details.
