  • Yes, much needed, so as to hugely improve Arlo's features as a CRM. Currently copying/pasting important emails into a contact or lead note is a headache and time-waster, especially when info is not pasted correctly. Also, would need the  option to attach or not a sent or received email through Outlook. Other cloud CRMs can do this.

  • Manually copying/pasting important Outlook emails sent to and received from Arlo contacts as Arlo notes, takes up the most amount of time in Arlo. We need to look at an Arlo contact and be able to see a history of important emailed correspondence. Other cloud CRMs integrate with Outlook - eg, Capsule CRM.

  • Just as a heads-up on this; just found out that Xero now provides this feature of linking sent/received emails via Outlook or Gmail to their contacts. Have a look here https://help.xero.com/au/Contacts_Email. So we need the same feature in Arlo as soon as possible. I don't want to go into Xero and use this feature. Some of you out there might not even use Xero.

    Plus, BTW, it's now up to 6 votes :)

  • Agree completely with the comments about being able to see recent email history in Arlo.

    At present I have to copy out of outlook and paste into Arlo as a note which is time consuming.

  • Hello all again. We're up to 22 votes for integrating Outlook emails with their respective Arlo contacts. Any chance this can now be on the developer's plan? How many votes do we need? Really need to link/sync Outlook emails to the Arlo contacts so we don't have to cut and paste important emails into the notes.

  • This is a feature we would love.  We find it very frustrating having to save a copy of communications in the documents tab. This creates two places we need to look if ever we need to review communications, which opens the door to things being missed.

  • Completely agree! Having Outlook integration would make daily tasks a lot smoother and save admin time. We are really keen to have this feature too!

    Is this something that will be included on the road map in the near future?

  • Thanks for your comment Jill. Yes, lots of support for this. Better Xero integration, partial payments, etc, etc, are all good new features being implemented, but intergration with Outlook 365 and Gmail is essentially needed. Arlo would be one of the few cloud services that does not integrate email and so it's difficult to use it as an effective CRM tool. Can we have some response please Arlo?

    As I see it, it's not necessarily an integration with any given email client (of which there are hundreds, albeit a few big ones), but rather a way to ensure that all conversations with a customer that relate to training enquires are logged in Arlo. So, anything that is generated from Arlo, but also anything that is then responded to by the customer as well. This means that Arlo would need to act as a mailbox. Without this feature, as a CRM, Arlo is then dead in the water. 

     

    We personally use Salesforce as our main CRM, yet training is an offshoot for us that we might want to keep seperate.

  • Hi Chris. Good comments, especially the "as a CRM, Arlo is then dead in the water" bit. Arlo wouldn't need to act as a mailbox as such. Even Xero has 'external' email synching available via Office 365 and Gmail for contacts, so shouldn't be that involved to implement with Arlo. Would also need the option whether to sync particular external emails with the relevant Arlo contact or have the ability to delete the Arlo version of the external email. Comments from Arlo developers???

  • Thanks Mark. FWIW, I was coming at this from the PoV of SaaS app such as Zendesk (both our help desk solution and I believe, Arlo's) or Salesforce. 

     

    There are multiple ways to skin this cat, however what is important is that all communication with contacts that relates to training/learning, should be accessible via the Arlo interface, no matter which agent (to use a Zendesk term), customer, or automation sent the email.

  • I agree with Gemma. Our prime marketing tool is email, especially with quotes we send for closed training events, which are then set up in Arlo as private events. Arlo does a great job of managing these private events. However, while we are 'pitching' and quoting to potential clients, our team can't easily and quickly track the correspondence back and forth between the potential client. Lots of time is wasted in cutting/pasting email content into the Notes section of the lead. So our CRM process suffers. This feature definitely needs to be put on the development road map ASAP, especially with lots of votes for it now.
