The following article outlines how to change and reset an administrator or presenter's username and password.
Arlo does not have any complexity requirements for its passwords, however, some devices, such as iPhones, may have more stringent requirements.
You must be logged in as an administrator to perform this task.
If a contact has not yet activated their account:
- Click Resend activation email and the system will send the contact an email with instructions on setting up their password.
If you are logged in to the platform and you want to change your password, follow the process below.
Users will only be able to change their own password using this method. The Change password button will not be visible for other users.
If required, other users should follow the process to Reset an existing password.
- Open the Settings menu item.
- From the Platform setup section, select Administrators.
- Select your account from the list.
- From the toolbar, press Change Password.
- Enter the new password twice.
- Press Save.
If a user has forgotten their password, they can follow this process to reset their password.
- Open the Arlo login page.
- Click on the Forgot password? link.
- Enter the account's email address.
- Press Send Email.
- Click Reset my account password link in the email. The user will be taken to the Reset password page to enter a new password.
- Enter the new password (twice).
- Press Save Password.
- Click Login now.
- Open the Arlo login page.
- Click on the Forgot username? link. The user will be taken to the Forgot Login page.
- Enter the account's email address.
If you get a message saying "We couldn't find an existing account in our system with that e-mail" then you do not have a Username assigned. Please follow the Create a new contact process.
You must be logged in as an administrator to perform this task.
- Open the contact you need to change the username for.
- From the toolbar, press Edit.
- From the Security section, edit the username as required.
- Press Save and close.
