The following article describes how to grant and remove licences to users and, for our pay monthly customers, how to manage your subscription, including how to purchase additional licences.
Arlo will detect if an administrator login is being used for two separate sessions at the same time, and as a security precaution, the original session will be ended with the below message displayed.
For example, if you leave Arlo logged in on a home computer, then log in at the office - the home session will be ended. This reduces the risk of unauthorised access to the system.
If you are logged out while completing a task in Arlo, you will need to log back in and start again.
Arlo allows you to change your billing plan or the number of licences you have directly from the management platform. You are able to view and confirm the new price before accepting the changes and, once accepted, pay immediately for the changes to your subscription.
Only the account owner can manage the subscription, i.e. change the billing plan or purchase new licences.
- Open the Settings menu item.
- From the Platform setup section, select Administrators.
- Press Manage subscription.
- In the Service level & licences section, select the plan from the drop-down and enter the number of administrators you would like.
- Any changes made are reflected in the Summary section.
- If you have received a promo code, click Did you receive a promo code from us?, enter the code into the field, and press Apply.
- If there will be a one-off, partial month fee, confirm that you are happy with this charge and you would like to proceed.
- Press Review and confirm.
- Complete a final review of the new subscription charges and, if happy, press Confirm.
To grant a licence to a user, the user must first have a role that requires a licence.
- Open the Settings menu item.
- From the Platform setup section, select Administrators.
- Find the user you wish to grant a licence to and press Grant licence.
If you do not have enough licences, a message will appear advising that the maximum licence limit has been reached. You will need to remove a licence from another user or edit your subscription.
- Open the Settings menu item.
- From the Platform setup section, select Administrators.
- Find the user you wish to remove the licence from, press Remove licence.
- Confirm that you have selected the correct user, then press Remove licence.
- Open the Settings menu item.
- From the Platform setup section, select Administrators.
- Select the Has licence tab.
You can easily view all users who are system administrators but do not have an active license to use.
- Open the Settings menu item.
- From the Platform setup section, select Administrators.
- Select the Requires licence tab.
