The following article outlines and answers some frequently asked questions about Arlo's new checkout.
Yes, you can configure the new checkout before you activate it for your end users.
To configure your new checkout:
- Open the Settings menu item.
- In the Website section, select Website integration & checkout.

In the Registration pages and checkout section, for the Standard checkout, click Configure.
NOTE: Once the new checkout is activated on your platform, the current checkout is referred to as the Legacy checkout, with the new checkout being referred to as the Standard checkout.

- Configure the checkout as required.
- Once you have updated the settings for your checkout, press Save.
Once you have configured your new checkout, you can activate it:
- Open the Settings menu item.
- In the Website section, select Website integration & checkout.

Your current styling and branding will still work on your current checkout. Your new checkout has its own styling and branding settings and these are set independently of your current checkout’s styling.
No, it is not possible to embed Arlo’s checkout on another website at this stage.
You cannot add clickable links to your fields at this stage. If you are interested in the ability to add clickable links to your fields, please send through a feature request to our team by visiting our Product portal and submitting a new idea.
The new checkout has the following features:
- Fully accessible as per the WCAG 2.2 guidelines
- Fully responsive, so is easy to use on any device
- Includes Google Pay, Apple Pay, Afterpay/Clearpay, and Klarna by default
- New out-of-the-box customisation options (theming, switch on/off fields and buttons, change text on buttons etc)
- Two-part layout, so the cart is always available to view (it is collapsible on smaller devices)
- Only a two-step process (Registration form and order form), so the new checkout is quicker and easier to complete
- A registrant selector gives end users the ability to reuse registrant’s information for additional courses (no need to complete the same fields multiple times)
The new checkout is not compatible with any custom checkout code.
No, payment methods are only able to switch on or off at the platform level. If you are interested in allowing different payment methods for different courses, please send through a feature request to our team by visiting our Product portal and submitting a new idea.
Similar to our existing checkout, the new checkout will support whatever currencies a platform has, but it will not support multiple currencies in the same cart (as you will still not be able to add items from different regions into the same cart). The new checkout does not currently support non-English languages at this stage.
As noted above, the Stripe supported payment methods are available by default in the new checkout. There are no other changes to the supported payment gateways (i.e. there are no additional supported payment gateways).
The release of this new checkout is just the start of our enhancements in this area. Our Product Team are considering what our next enhancements in the checkout should be and course bundles is on the list of features being considered. If you would like to offer course bundles, add your feedback to the feature card in our Product Portal.
There are no new security features in the new checkout at this stage. If you are interested in a particular new security feature, please send through a feature request to our team by visiting our Product portal and submitting a new idea.
Google Tag Manager is now available in the new checkout.
Links to the checkout will not change. The only change is in the look and feel of the checkout.
When making payments via either a payment link on the invoice or via the customer portal, the user will be directed to the old payment page. The team are working on a new payment page, that looks similar to the new checkout and this will be rolled out in the future.
Yes, existing discounts and vouchers will all work in the new checkout.
