Arlo allows you to import a range of entities directly from a CSV file from within the management platform.
Using importers allows you to easily migrate new information into Arlo from external systems, or update existing information.
Many of Arlo's importers require other entities to be available before the import can be successful, i.e. course templates must exist before course imports can be completed.
As Arlo does not currently have an importer for venues, these should be created within Arlo before starting your imports.
If you are completing a number of different imports for future courses and registrations, we recommend completing your imports in the following order:
- Course templates
- Scheduled courses
- Contacts
- Organisations
- Registrations
The historical registrations importer will create courses and venues at the time of the import, however, these entities are not complete records. Courses created by the historical registration importer cannot be edited.
Therefore, the historical registrations importer should only be used for legacy data, for reference purposes. If you need complete records, you should use the process above to create the entities.
When importing data into Arlo, there are a number of tips that your should be aware of. These include how to format your date fields for import, how to check and remove duplicate data, and how to format address information.
