Arlo now enables you to send payment reminder emails for invoice orders.
Please follow the steps below to action.
Please note: Automated payment reminders will only be sent if the option Send tax invoices from Arlo is active. Please go to Settings - Orders and invoicing, and scroll down to the Receipts section to turn this on.
Select an overdue invoice order from your orders list:
Then once you send an invoice:
The option to send a payment reminder will appear:
A preview will then appear of the payment reminder email which will include a Pay Now button taking the customer to the card payment page.
(Please note, the pay now button will only appear if you have credit card payments enabled for your platform)
Arlo also allows you to send upcoming payment reminders.
On an upcoming payment, if you select 'Send Invoice' and then select 'Send Payment Reminder', the 'Overdue Payment Notice' email will be replaced by an 'Upcoming Payment Reminder email.'
You can set up automated payment reminders inside each payment method slider in your payment settings page (so you can set them differently for each expected payment method)
You can activate automated payment reminders for the following payment methods:
- Credit card
- Account
- Invoice
- Bank Transfer
No, if a manual payment reminder has been sent, the automated payment reminders will not be sent.
There is no limit on the number of manual payment reminders that you can send through Arlo.
Automated payment reminders will only be sent for orders that exactly meet the date criteria, e.g. if the overdue payment reminder setting is set to 3 days overdue, the reminder will only be sent for orders that are exactly 3 days overdue, not for orders that are at least 3 days overdue. Therefore, some orders created before payment reminders were configured will not receive reminders.
Automated payment reminders will be sent so long as, in the Xero integration settings, the Sending setting is set to “Send invoices and credit notes from Arlo”. If you are sending invoices and credit notes from Xero, Arlo will not send automated payment reminders. Xero has an equivalent feature within their product.
Please note: Payment reminders will not be sent if the order is exported to Xero and invoices are sent from Xero.
