The following article outlines and answers some frequently asked questions about Arlo's Organisation Portal feature.
We expect this to be resolved in the next week or so.
In order for users to activate the Organisation portal account, the Customer portal must also be active.
Note: This is temporary. The authorisation flow for the Organisation will be separated from the Customer portal soon.
No, being listed as a key contact against either a course or an organisation record does not automatically grant the user access to the Organisation portal. A platform administrator must grant the Organisation portal access role to the contact in order for them to be able to access the portal.
No, a contact can only have access to the portal of the organisation that is in the contact’s Organisation name field.
If the Organisation listed against a contact changes as part of the Edit Contact workflow in the platform (i.e. it has been changed by a platform administrator), the contact WILL be granted access to Organisation portal for the new Organisation (assuming that the Organisation portal access role checkbox remains ticked).
If the Organisation listed against a contact changes via any other method (and there are multiple ways in which this can happen, e.g. via the checkout), the user WILL NOT automatically be granted access to the Organisation portal for their new organisation. Access to the previous organisation’s portal will be cleaned up within 24 hours.
Note: Access to the previous organisation’s portal can be revoked immediately by any platform administrator by removing the Organisation portal access role from the contact.
