The following instructions describe how to set up website categories that are used to group course templates on your website course catalogue and other website pages, such as your website calendar. They also describe how to group and add a course template to a category.
On your website, course templates can be displayed within categories. For example, Accounting & Finance, Leadership, Sales & Marketing, Software Skills, and Strategy.
We highly recommend you create a few categories at a time, then save your progress.
- Open the Settings menu item.
- From the Website section, select Categories.
- In the category tree, select the category you would like to add a sub-category to.
- Press New Category...
- Enter the name of the new category.
- Press Create.
- Press Save.
- Open the Settings menu item.
- From the Website section, select Categories.
- In the category tree, select the category you would like to rename.
- Press Rename...
- Enter the name you would like to change the category to.
- Press Rename.
- Press Save.
- In the category tree, select the category you would like to add course templates to.
- Press Add.
- Select the course template(s) you would like to add by ticking the box next to the template name.
- Press Select Templates.
- Press Save.
The following instructions describe how to change the order that the templates appear on the website category pages.
- In the category tree, select the category you would like to reorder.
- Either press Sort A-Z to automatically sort the list alphabetically.
OR
- From the list of templates in the category, click on and drag each template to the desired location.
- Press Save.
You can add text and images above and below the list of courses on a category page.
- Select the category you would like to add text or images to.
- Enter text within either the Description header box, which will appear above the course list on the website page or the Description footer, which will appear below the list.
- Press Save.
