Tags are keywords or terms that help you describe and categorise templates, courses, and sessions.
For example, you can tag your top 10 courses with the term Top 10, or new courses with the word New.
Tags can also be used to; apply discounts to courses and elearning modules, manage website lists (such as the list displayed on the Find a course page), and manage workflows in Zapier.
- Open the Templates menu item.
- Find and select the template you would like to tag.
- From the toolbar, press Tag.
- Enter the name of the tag you would like to add, and press Apply tags.
If the tag already exists it will appear in the menu as you type. Select the tag to add it to the template.
- The tags will now show in a list on the template's homepage. You can also search for templates with certain tags in your lists using the search suggestions.
The following process describes how to add a tag to a course.
- Open the Courses menu item.
- Find and select the course you would like to tag.
- From the toolbar, press Tag.
- Enter the name of the tag you would like to add, and press Apply tags.

- The tags will now show in a list on the course's homepage. You can also search for courses with certain tags in your lists using the search suggestions.
Arlo supports adding tags to the individual sessions of advanced courses.
- Open the Courses menu item.
- Find and select the course you would like to tag.
- From the toolbar, press Edit.
- Navigate to the Schedule tab.
- On the session that you wish to add a tag to, press Edit.
- Press Add tags.
- Enter the name of the tag you would like to add, and press Apply tags.
If the tag already exists it will appear in the menu as you type. Select the tag to add it to the session.
Tags on individual sessions are available through Arlo's Auth API for reporting in external systems.
You can add the same tag to multiple templates from the templates list.
- Open the Templates menu item.
- Select the templates you would like to tag by clicking the checkbox in each row.
- Press Actions and select Tag.
- Enter the tag(s) required and press Tag template.
- Open the Templates menu item.
- Enter the name of the tag into the search box. A list of tags which match your search will appear in the menu as you type.
- Select the tag. Only courses tagged with the tag you have selected will be displayed in the resultant list.
- Open the Courses menu item.
- Enter the name of the tag into the search box. A list of tags which match your search will appear in the menu as you type.
- Select the tag. Only courses tagged with the tag you have selected will be displayed in the resultant list.
- Open the Courses menu item.
- Select the relevant Tags and categories view.

- Open the Courses menu item.
- Select the Sessions with tags view.
If you cannot see it, learn how to enable this view.
You can create, delete, or rename a tag from the tag management list.
- Open the Courses menu item.
- Click More and select Tags.
- Press Add Tag.
- Enter the name of the tag you would like to create, and click Save or just press Enter.
- Select the tag you would like to rename by double-clicking on the row or click Edit.
- Edit the new name of the tag.
- Click Save or press Enter.
Deleting tags will also remove the tag from any courses or templates using the tag. If you want to delete a tag that a discount uses, you'll need to update or delete the discount first.
- Select the tag you would like to delete by hovering on the row.
- Click Delete.
- Press Delete tag.
