Arlo allows you to create and send certificates to registrants, e.g. certificate of attendance, certificate of achievement, certificate of completion etc. You can either; send certificates to registrants manually, download certificates to hand out or send, or set criteria so that Arlo will send the certificates automatically.
The following article outlines how to manually send certificates by email to registrants. Alternatively, learn how to set criteria so Arlo will send the certificates automatically or learn how to download certificates for registrants.
This article assumes you have uploaded a certificate template already. Learn how to upload your certificate templates in order to create and send certificates.
- Open the Courses menu item.
- Open the course you would like to send certificates for.
- From the toolbar, press Certificates and select the relevant option from the menu.
- Select the Certificate template and the Format the certificate will be produced in (e.g. PDF, Word).

- Enter the email's Subject and Message.
The message you enter will be saved as your default (unless you are sending certificates from a course with automated certificates, the automated certificate message will be used).
- Press Send certificates.
Press Send me a test to send an example of the certificate to yourself. This is recommended if it's a new certificate template you have not used before.
- Open the Courses menu item.
- Open the course you would like to send certificates for.
- Select Registrations.
- Tick the checkbox next to the names of the people to whom you would like to send a certificate.
- Press Actions and select Send Certificates.
- Select the Certificate template and Format the certificate will be produced in (e.g. PDF, Word).
- Enter the email's Subject and Message.
The message you enter will be saved as your default (unless you are sending certificates from a course with automated certificates, the automated certificate message will be used).
- Press Send certificates.
Press Send me a test to send an example of the certificate to yourself. This is recommended if it's a new certificate template you have not used before.

- Open the elearning activity you wish to send certificates for.
- Press Certificates and select the relevant option from the menu.
- Select the Certificate template and Format the certificate will be produced in (e.g. PDF, Word).

The message you enter will be saved as your default (unless you are sending certificates from an eLearning activity with automated certificates, the automated certificate message will be used).
- Press Send certificates.

- Select the Current tab.
You need to mark approved certifications as approved, and their certification period must begin before they will show in the Current tab.
- Select the certifications you would like to send a certificate to.
- Press Send Certificates.
- Select Certificate template and the Format the certificate will be produced in (e.g. PDF, Word).

- Enter the email's Subject and Message.
The message you enter here will be saved as the default for next time you send certificates. This message is saved per user.
- Press Send Certificates.
Press Send me a test to send an example of the certificate to yourself to check it. This is recommended if it's a new certificate template you have not used before.
Registrations
- In the Registrations list of a course, you view registrants who have had a certificate sent to them by selecting Certificates from the search bar drop down.
- Contacts who have been sent a certificate will be indicated by a certificate icon. You can also see when the certificate was sent and how (e.g. manually or automatically).
Certifications
- In the Current tab, contacts who have been sent a certificate will be indicated by a certificate icon. Hover over the icon with your mouse to check the date it was sent.
