This article covers how to create a campaign and how to add prospects to your campaigns.
Create a campaign
- Open the Campaigns menu.
- Press New Campaign.
In the General section:
- Enter a name for your campaign.
- Select a Category from the drop-down.
You can edit the categories by pressing Edit options.
- Select a Start date and an End date for the campaign.
In the Prospects section:
- If you want to target your campaign towards all of your active newsletter subscribers, tick the Add newsletter subscribers as prospects checkbox.
- If you do not want to target your campaign to only your newsletter subscribers or, you want to apply further filters to your newsletter subscribers, leave the Add newsletter subscribers as prospects checkbox unticked.
If you need to include only prospects that have given consent (e.g. for GDPR), leave the 'Add newsletter subscribers as prospects' checkbox unticked - as you will add your newsletter prospects later.
- Click Record prospect list criteria.
- Record details of what conditions you have used to create the prospects list.
In the Information section:
- Record relevant information about your campaign.
In the Status section
- Enter the Owner of the campaign or click Assign to me.
- Press Create campaign. The campaign will be saved as a draft so you can create your campaigns in Arlo while they are still in the planning stages and approve them once they are confirmed as going ahead.
Approve a draft campaign
- Open the Campaigns menu.
- Select the Draft tab.
- Select the campaign from the list.
- Press Approve in the toolbar.
- Press Approve Campaign.
- If you have Campaign Monitor, press Campaign Monitor in the toolbar, and then press Create Campaign in Campaign Monitor.
Campaign Monitor is a separate application that Arlo integrates with to allow you to send campaigns to your contacts. See Set up Campaign Monitor Integration.
