The following article describes how to configure your contact and organisation settings.
Out of the box, Arlo includes a number of active CRM fields. In the event that the field you want is not available, you can create a custom field to record and store the data. There is a range of field types available to use.
Once configured, contact fields can also be included within your registration forms and made visible with the customer portal so that any required information can be captured/updated online. You can also include custom field information to your import files, making is easy to update contact and organisation records in bulk.
In addition, many of Arlo's report can be configured to include custom field information.

- Open the Settings menu item.
- From the Platform setup section, select Fields.
- Click Contacts.
- In the Active list, find the Email field and press Edit.
- In the Options section, tick Require confirmation.
- Press Save and close.
- All emails fields on your website forms will now require confirmation.
Email validation does not apply to changes made within the management platform.

For the organisation fields on your website forms, you can enable an auto-suggest feature. The feature offers suggestions of possible organisation matches which helps to prevent duplicates from being created, for example, where one registrant entering 'DesignQ' and another entering 'DesignQ Ltd'.
Things to know about the auto-suggest feature:
- The suggestion will only be displayed after the user enters 2 or more characters.
- The number of suggestions displayed is limited.
- Arlo will not add any additional information to the form (e.g. an organisation's address or contact details) after the user selects an organisation. It is only the name.
- Open the Settings menu item.
- From the Financial section, select Orders and invoicing.
- In the Website registrations section, tick or untick Organisation autocomplete selector.
The bulk emails setting for contacts allows you to automatically stop all bulk marketing emails for a contact if you use the Campaign Monitor integration, even if they are still subscribed to your newsletter in Arlo.
By default, bulk emails and bulk post are set to allow in Arlo. If a contact asks you to stop sending them bulk emails via Campaign Monitor but wants to remain subscribed to your newsletter, follow this process below.
It is not possible for newsletters to be sent in Campaign Monitor via a marketing list from Arlo if bulk emails are not allowed.
- Find and open the contact you would like to edit.
- From the toolbar, press Edit.
- From the Marketing section, in the Bulk emails fields, select the Allow/Do not allow option as required.
- Press Save and close.
