The following article outlines how to connect Arlo to Google Calendar using Zapier.
To create and use these Zaps you will need to have a Zapier starter plan or above with access multi-step Zaps.
- In your Zapier Dashboard select Create Zap

- Search for and Select Arlo from the app selector

- Choose New Event as the Trigger Event and click Continue

- Choose your account and click Continue

- On the find data step click Test Trigger
If Zapier says it cannot find any events to display try scheduling a new event in your platform, waiting a couple minutes and click test again.

- Click Continue after the test has completed
- Search for and select Google Calendar as the new Trigger

- For Choose Action Event select Create Detailed Event and click Continue

- Select the Google account you'd like to connect to the Zap
You will need to connect to your Google account if this is the first time you've used it for a Zap.

- The Customise Event section allows you to enter information pulled from Arlo into the events fields and combine it with Google information and options
- First set which calendar you want the event to be added to

You can add custom calendars that are shared with your team to track Courses or events.
- Populate the required calendar appointment fields with Arlo information

- With the required information and any custom information in the description field completed, click Continue
- In the final step you can test that the Zap will work and a new subscriber will be added successfully. Click Test & Continue

- The new event will be in your chosen calendar

- The Zap is now created and ready to go, all that's left is to give it a name and turn it on


- In your Zapier Dashboard select Create Zap

- Search for and Select Arlo from the app selector

- Choose Updated Event as the Trigger Event and click Continue

- Choose your account and click Continue

- On the find data step click Test Trigger
If Zapier says it cannot find any events to display try updating an event in your platform, waiting a couple minutes and click test again.

- Click Continue after the test has completed
- Search for and select Google Calendar as the new Trigger

- For Choose Action Event select Update Event and click Continue

- Select the Google account you'd like to connect to the Zap
You will need to connect to your Google account if this is the first time you've used it for a Zap.

- First set which calendar you want the event to be added to

- Select which event you'd like to update
- If you used the Arlo Event Name as the name to create the Google Calendar Event select this
- Note: If you have changed the name of the event in Arlo this will not update the Google Calendar Event. If you'd like to be able to do update an event with a changed name you'll need to use a look up step before the update event.

- Populate the required calendar appointment fields with Arlo information
- You can enter the same fields you did for the new event Zap

- In the final step you can test that the Zap will update the event correctly. Click Test & Continue
- Note: If there hasn't been any event added to the calendar yet then this test will fail since it won't be able to find the correct event

- The Zap is now created and ready to go, all that's left is to give it a name and turn it on


- In your Zapier Dashboard select Create Zap

- Search for and Select Arlo from the app selector

- Choose Updated Event as the Trigger Event and click Continue

- Choose your account and click Continue

- On the find data step click Test Trigger
If Zapier says it cannot find any events to display try updating an event in your platform, waiting a couple minutes and click test again.

- Click Continue and search for Filter by Zapier

- Set the filter up to run only if the Event Status contains Cancelled

This filter may not trigger with your sample event due to Zapier only plugging active or completed events in as samples but it will trigger for any actual event that is cancelled.
- Select Continue
- Search for and select Google Calendar as the new Trigger

- For Choose Action Event select Delete Event and click Continue

- Select the Google account you'd like to connect to the Zap

- Specify which calendar you'd like to delete the event from

- Select which event you'd like to delete
- If you used the Arlo Event Name as the name to create the Google Calendar Event select this
- Note: If you have changed the name of the event in Arlo this will not delete the Google Calendar Event

- With the calendar and event selected, click Continue
- In the final step you can test that the Zap will cancel the event. Click Test & Continue
- Note: If there hasn't been any event added to the calendar yet then this test will fail since it won't be able to find the correct event

- The Zap is now created and ready to go, all that's left is to give it a name and turn it on
