As is recommended before installing any WordPress plugin, ensure that you back up your WordPress website before you begin installation of the Arlo WordPress plugin.
In order for your WordPress plugin integration to be successful, you will need to ensure that your WordPress website and hosting environment meet our minimum requirements. Review the minimum requirements here.
WordFence can blacklist Arlo callback IP addresses.
This occurs when it's security threshold is triggered. For example; when multiple manual syncs are requested within a short space of time.
- To check whether Arlo IPs are blocked. Navigate to the firewall settings, within WordFence, and check under Top IPs Blocked. An example of this screen is show below.

Add these IPs to your whitelist, within WordFence, to allow them to bypass security rules.
Similar to WordFence, iThemesSecurity can blacklist Arlo callbacks. In order to resolve this, please follow steps below.
- Open Security
- Click Banned Users
- Click Configure Settings
- Un-tick "Enable HackRepair.com's blacklist feature"
- Save Settings.
It is best practice before installing any WordPress plugin, to perform a full back up your website. Same goes for our Arlo WordPress plugin. In the rare case that something goes wrong, you want to be sure that you have the ability to restore you website.

Once you have backed up your website, and checked to make sure you have met the minimum requirements, you are ready to install the Arlo WordPress plugin. You have a couple of options:
- Login to your WordPress CMS, and navigate to the Plugins page (wp-admin/plugins.php)
- Press Add New
- Search Arlo Training
- Press Install Now
- Once the plugin installation has completed, press Activate
- Press Download
- The plugin should download as a Zip folder
- Login to your WordPress CMS, and navigate to the Plugins page (wp-admin/plugins.php)
- Press Add New
- Then press: Upload Plugin
- Press Choose file and select the Arlo-Training-and-events Plugin Zip file, then click Install Now
Check your Permalinks are set to post name in your wp-admin/options-permalink.php settings - WordPress dashboard > Settings > Permalinks > Select post name (this is better for search engines to find the pages).
