You can see from viewing the page source of the Arlo website page (after applying and saving these settings), that my tracking id is visible in the Analytics script snippet now embedded in the head of my website.
Global Site Tag
The global site tag (gtag.js) is a JavaScript tagging framework and API that allows you to send event data to Google Ads, Campaign Manager, Display & Video 360, Search Ads 360, and Google Analytics. Instead of having to manage multiple tags for different products, you can use gtag.js and more easily benefit from the latest tracking features and integrations as they become available.
- If you will be using Global Site Tag, turn this setting on. Important: As per Google support documentation, if you currently use Tag Manager, you should continue to do so. Google Ads and Google Marketing Platform tags are fully supported by Tag Manager, and there is no need to deploy additional gtag.js-based code on your site if Tag Manager is already in use. Learn more about considerations before enabling the Global site tag.
Enabling the Global Site Tag will enable and configure the 'gtag' command in the script snippet in the head of your website. Learn more about Googles gtag feature. - If you are not enabling the Global Site Tag, because you already utilize Google's Tag Manager feature, then you should turn on the Enable Google Tag Manager setting and insert your tracking ID of the GA account to which the Tag manager is configured to.
Cross Domain Tracking
- Insert additional tracking domain names if you are promoting Arlo events on multiple websites (separated by comma)
This will embed the cross-tracking domains in the script snippet in the head of your website.
Enable DoubleClick Cookie
The DoubleClick Cookie setting enables Remarketing with Google Analytics, a third-party DoubleClick cookie is embedded in the script snippet in the head of your website, and this is used to enable remarketing for products like Google Ads. When this feature is used, information (including the third-party DoubleClick cookie) is similarly sent to the Analytics servers. Learn more about how Google Analytics collects data.
- Enable the DoubleClick cookie by ticking the option in the Google settings. Note: You will not have access to this setting if you are using the Global Site tag feature.

- Once you have configured all of your Google Analytics tracking settings, click Save and Close or Save to save your settings.
